Description

Two ranges of stables, built in the late 18th century, are located immediately north-east of Ellerslie Cottage. The stables are set parallel to each other and feature brick walls in Flemish bond with burnt headers throughout, sitting on a base of flint rubble. Both ranges have hipped thatch roofs and are single-storey structures with a total of nine bays. The windows are horizontally-hung casements with glazing bars, and there are insertions of sash windows. The stables include five stable doors and plank doors for carriages at the south end of the north range.
