Description
Pound House is a detached house built in the early 18th century, with a 19th-century extension at the west end. The walls are made of chalk block, and the roof is thatched, hipped at both ends. There are brick stacks from the 19th century located at the ridge left of centre and at the right end wall. The house is two storeys high and features three windows in the original section, which have hollow-chamfered stone mullions and consist of three- and four-light windows on the ground floor, and three-light and two-light windows on the first floor, all fitted with 20th-century metal casements. The additional bay at the west end is also two storeys high and has two-light wooden casements with lead lights and wooden cills. The front door, located at the original centre, is flush-panelled with two top lights and dates from the 19th century. There is a brick porch with a segmental-headed outer entrance and a gabled slate roof, also from the 19th century.
