Description
Tailors Cottage and the attached stable are a detached cottage and stable dating from the late 17th century, with a 19th-century extension at the east end and some changes to the windows. The building features brick and rendered walls that are painted white, and it has a thatched roof with gable ends, with the wheat reed having been renewed in 1985. There is a brick stack at the right gable from the 19th century. The structure is two storeys high and has four windows, which are three-light iron casements with lead lights and wooden cills. On the left side of the ground floor, there is a canted bay window with a rendered plinth. The front doors, located at the original centre and at the left-hand end, both have recessed panels and are from the 19th century. The attached stable at the east end includes a loft above, with a stable door at the left-hand end and a plank door above it, featuring an eyebrow design.
