CATTISTOCK THE SQUARE (west side) Ivy Cottage, Virginia Cottage and Jessamine Cottage.

GV II

Three estate cottages in row. Mid C19. Greensand rubble walls with Ham stone quoins and dressings, with straight-chamfered surrounds. Slate roofs, of low pitch with gable-ends. Brick stacks, left and right of centre on ridge at party walls. 2 storeys. 6 windows, 3-light wooden casements with glazing-bars (original). (8 panes to each casement), 2-light wooden case- ments above, same design. Front-doors of each cottage, left of centre, right of centre, right of centre,with straight-chamfered stone jambs and four-centred heads. Four-centred plank doors, with weatherboards, C19. Projecting stone hoods following the shape of the doorhead, and carried on stone corbels.
