Description
These are three cottages located at 8-12 Millgate, dating from the early 19th century. They are built from coursed squared stone with ashlar dressings and feature a graduated stone slate roof. The cottages are two storeys high and consist of four bays. There are three doors to the left of the three left-hand bays, two of which are half-glazed and have stone lintels above them. To the right of the left-hand bays, there is a carriage entrance. All windows have stone lintels and sills, with four-pane side-sliding sashes, except for the ground-floor bay three, which has a twelve-pane side-sliding sash, and the first-floor bay two, which has a 20th-century casement window. The cottages also have two ridge stacks.
