Description
Peacock's Cottages East is a row of three cottages built in the early 19th century. They are constructed from rubble with a stone slate roof and stand two storeys tall, featuring four first-floor openings in total.
The left cottage has a six-panel door set in a plain ashlar surround on plinths. To the left of this door, there is a blocked low-level opening with a segmental-arched soffit and an ashlar lintel above. This cottage also has one bay of sash windows with glazing bars, which have projecting sills and sill-like lintels. The centre cottage is identical to the left one but does not have the low-level opening. The right cottage features a part-glazed door in a plain ashlar surround on plinths, along with two bays of four-pane sash windows that also have projecting sills and sill-like lintels.
The cottages are topped with shaped kneelers and ashlar copings, and there are chimney stacks at the ends and between the first and second bays, as well as between the second and third bays.
