Description
The Manor House Stables, dating from the 18th century, are constructed of rubble with ashlar dressings and feature a stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and four openings on the first floor. It is characterized by quoins and five board stable doors, each set in ashlar surrounds with impost blocks on the jambs and basket soffits on the lintels, topped with a weather course.
On the ground floor, there are eight side-sliding sash windows, all within plain ashlar surrounds. The first floor has two outer openings that contain board doors in ashlar surrounds with impost blocks on the jambs; the right door includes a projecting loading step supported by two corbels. Additionally, there are small part-shuttered square windows in plain ashlar surrounds. The building is finished with a plain cornice supported by modillions, shaped kneelers, ashlar copings, and stacks located at both ends and the center.
