Description

Peacock's Cottages West is a pair of cottages, originally three, dating from the early 19th century. They are constructed of rubble with a stone slate roof and stand two storeys tall, featuring a total of three first-floor windows. The cottages have two six-panel doors set in plain ashlar surrounds on plinths, although the central door has been removed. The windows are 16-pane sash types with projecting sills and sill-like lintels. The left side displays a shaped kneeler and ashlar coping, while the right gable is extended as a screen wall topped with a castellated parapet. There are chimneys located at the left end and between the first and second bays, as well as between the second and third bays.
