Description
Flatts Cottage is a pair of cottages that have been combined into one, dating from the early 19th century. The building is constructed of coursed rubble with a stone slate roof and stands two storeys high, featuring two first-floor windows. The openings have flush ashlar surrounds, most of which include impost blocks. Each bay has a doorway, with the leftmost doorway lacking impost blocks and featuring doors with six and four panels. The windows are 16-pane sash types. There are stacks to the right of each bay, and the right side of the building has a shaped kneeler and ashlar coping. Additionally, the right return shows a small window in the gable with an ashlar surround. The cottage is included for its group value.
