Description
Lyth Cottage is a mid-18th century house that has been converted into three dwellings. It features coursed squared stone with ashlar dressings and a graduated stone slate roof. The building is two storeys high and consists of three bays. There is a plinth and quoins on the right side. The central bay has a late 19th-century half-glazed door and shopfront, which includes pilasters, consoles, a frieze, and a cornice. On either side of this central bay, there are half-glazed doors set in plain stone surrounds. The windows have plain stone surrounds, with the left-hand bay containing 12-pane side-sliding sashes, while the others have 4-pane side-sliding sashes. The building also features shaped kneelers and stone coping, with end stacks and one stack on the ridge, all made of renewed brick.
