Description
Westgate House is a mid-18th century building that has been converted from two houses into two shops. It features coursed squared stone that has been painted, with stone dressings and a slate roof. The building has rebated eaves supported by brackets and quoins at the right corner. It stands three storeys tall and has a three-window arrangement of 12-pane sash windows, with the right window set lower than the others. Above, there is an unequally hung 12-pane sash window on the left and a larger 9-pane sash window on the right, all of which have projecting surrounds. The ground floor has two late 20th-century shop fronts with plastic fascias. There have been alterations made in the late 19th and late 20th centuries.
