Description

9 and 11 Market Place are a house and commercial premises dating from the 18th century. The building is constructed of rubble stone, rendered and with ashlar dressings, topped with a graduated stone slate roof. It is three storeys high and four bays wide. The main entrance, flanked by a half-glazed door with overlight, is located between the first and second bays. The first two bays have sash windows. The remaining two bays have plate-glass windows. The first floor features sash windows with glazing bars, while the second floor has two-pane casement windows, all with plain stone surrounds. A stack is located at the left end of the building, and another runs along the ridge.
