Description

Ivydene is a house dating from the middle to late 18th century. It is constructed of ashlar stone with a Welsh slate and graduated stone slate roof. The main body of the house is two storeys high and consists of five bays, with a lower, one-bay wing extending to the right. The central doorway has a five-panel design with an overlight, set within a plain stone surround. All the windows are sash windows with glazing bars, also in plain stone surrounds. Chimneys are located at both ends of the building. The wing has a blocked doorway to its left, with windows matching those of the main house. A stone slate roof covers the wing, with stone coping and an end stack to the right. The left return of the building has a blocked carriage entrance.
