Description

The stables range, dating from the early 19th century, is located to the east of a barn adjacent to Nos 23 and 25, forming the eastern side of the farmyard behind these properties. The building is constructed from Portland or Ridgeway rubble with red brick dressings and features a pitched slate roof that is half-hipped to the south. It stands two storeys tall and has a full-height barn opening at the south. The middle section includes two ranges of windows and two planked stable doors, while the northern part has two additional window ranges and two more planked stable doors. Inside, the stables retain cobbled floors and intact stalls. This building is part of a group with other listed buildings on the east side of Kings Road, including Fordington House and the farm buildings in Athelstan Road.
