Description
34 Alington Road is a mid-19th century building constructed from hammer-dressed Portland or Ridgeway stone, featuring chequer brick dressings and pitched slate roofs with brick stacks. The building has two storeys and consists of three ranges of segment-headed casements with glazing bars. There is one planked door that has a pent hood supported by wooden brackets. To the north, there is a one-storey extension with two casements featuring glazing bars. To the south, there is a stable extension that is also one storey high, which includes a hay loft. This extension has three casements with glazing bars, one planked door, and one planked loft door on the farmyard side, as well as two casements with glazing bars on the road side. Number 34 and its barn form a group.
