Description
The stables located immediately northwest of Kingston House are a stable range dating from the late 18th century. They are constructed of coursed stone rubble and feature a slurried slate hipped roof. A moulded stringcourse runs below the eaves. The building is two storeys high and consists of three bays, with the centre bay being advanced. This central section includes a stone pilastered carriageway that has a depressed arch with a keystone and cornice. The first floor has loft doors with flat arches that also feature keystones. There are external steps leading to the left-hand door. Additionally, there is a plain farm building from the 18th century that adjoins the south side under the same roof.
