Description
The stables at Boleskine House were built between 1810 and 1820 and are a single-storey structure facing northwest, consisting of seven bays. The building is constructed from coursed rubble with tooled ashlar margins. The central bay is wide and advanced, featuring a pediment, a segmental-headed carriage entrance, and an oval oculus in the tympanum. It has a double leaf plank door and channelled ashlar quoins.
To the left, there are stables with flanking windows, while the right side has three bays with an off-centre door. The stables have modern glazing and an off-centre ridge stack, topped with a slightly bellcast piended slate roof. Inside, an arcaded range of stalls remains in the stables.
