Description
Markers is an attached house located on the north side of Duck Street in Cattistock, dating from the late 18th century. The building features brick walls laid in Flemish bond, with tuck pointing. It is two storeys high and has four windows, which are sash windows with thin glazing bars arranged in a 16-pane configuration. The windows are topped with gauged and ribbed brick voussoirs and have stone cills. The front door, positioned to the right of centre, consists of six fielded panels and is topped by a segmental fanlight with glazing bars, which is a 20th-century addition. There is a blocked side entrance on the left side at ground level, also featuring ribbed brick voussoirs. The property is complemented by attached iron railings on a brick sleeper wall, which have urn finials at the main divisions, along with an iron gate of the same design. The brick gate piers have been rebuilt in the 20th century.
