Description

Pitt House is an attached house located on Long Street in Cerne Abbas. It dates from the early 19th century, although it may have an earlier core. The building features brick walls laid in Flemish bond with the appropriate closers. It has a slate roof, with a rendered stack on the left gable and a brick stack on the right gable. The house is two storeys high and has dormers. There are four windows, which are sashes with thin glazing bars, and they are adorned with gauged brick voussoirs and stone cills. The front door is situated to the right of centre and has six recessed panels within a rounded-headed surround, topped by a semi-circular fanlight with glazing bars.
