Description

Billey's House is a detached house located on Long Street in Cerne Abbas. It was built in the early 19th century, although it likely has an earlier core. The house features brick walls laid in Flemish bond and has an asbestos slate roof with gable ends. There are renewed 20th-century brick stacks at the gable ends. The building is two storeys tall and has three windows with regular spacing. The windows are sashes with thin glazing bars and stone cills, and gauged voussoirs are present throughout. The front door is centrally located in a round-headed doorway and consists of eight ribbed panels, dating from the late 19th century, with a ribbed door frame. Above the door is a fanlight with a central circle and curvilinear glazing bars.
