Description
The Livery is a detached house located on Winterslow Livery Road, built in the late 18th century or early 19th century. It features Flemish bond brickwork and a plain tile roof. The house has an L-shaped plan with a symmetrical facade facing the road. The inner angle of the L has been filled with a later addition to create a rectangular block.
The building is two storeys high with a three-window front. It has two-storey canted bays on either side, each containing 12:16:12-pane sash windows with flat roofs. The central entrance features a 12-pane sash window above a well-crafted fielded six-panel door, which is topped by a fanlight and flanked by wood pilasters and a pediment.
To the left, there is a long wing that may have been extended later by two bays, which includes two 12-pane sashes, a canted bay similar to the front, and another 12-pane sash. This section has a large eaves stack and an additional ridge stack. The right return has a slightly lower wing with small-pane two or three-light casements and a 20th-century porch extension, along with a gable stack. The interior has not been inspected.
