Description

The boundary wall to Livery Road is located on the west side of the road in Winterslow. It is likely from the early 19th century, although it could be from a later period. The wall is constructed of chalk cob and features clear lifts with a concrete tile capping. On the left side, the wall extends from the property boundary and returns at right angles to meet the left corner of the house. There is a gap with wooden gates, which are not of special interest. The right section of the wall angles towards the house, then continues straight before forming a canted section and returning towards the former stable block. This wall is an important element of the road scene and complements the house.
