Description

Silverlands Cottage is a detached cottage dating from the mid-18th century. It features rubble-stone walls with rendered gable ends and a thatched roof. The brick stacks have been rebuilt at the gable ends. The cottage is two storeys high and has two windows on the ground floor, which are 2-light iron casements with lead lights, while the first floor has wood casements with glazing bars. The wood cills and lintels are also present. The front doorway is centrally located and consists of a plank door with a wood frame, dating from the 19th century. There is a small outhouse on the south gable end, which has rubble-stone walls and a hipped slate roof.
