Description
The Old Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse dating from the early 18th century. It features rubble-stone walls with dressed stone quoins and a thatch roof that is half-hipped at each end. A 20th-century brick stack is located on the ridge, to the right of the center. The building has two storeys and three windows with irregular fenestration, consisting of 2-light wooden casements that have glazing bars, wooden frames, cills, and lintels, with some 18th and 20th-century renewals. There is a 3-light casement immediately to the left of the front door. A wood and glass porch from the 20th century, with a stone slab roof, is situated to the right of the center, leading to a 20th-century inner door. A doorway that was originally located immediately to the right of the porch has been blocked and is now a 2-light casement.
