Description
Ivy Cottage is a detached house dating from the early 18th century, with some changes made in the 20th century. The building features thin rubble-stone walls and dressed stone quoins. It has a slate roof, with stone slabs at the eaves and stone gable copings. There are stone stacks at each gable. The house is two storeys high with attics and has three windows, which are sashes with thin glazing bars, although some have been rebuilt. The windows have stone architraves. There are also two 19th-century dormer windows, which are two-light casements with glazing bars and flat roofs. The front doorway is centrally located and features a stone architrave with a projecting keystone. Above the door, there is a stone canopy supported by moulded stone brackets.
