Description

No. 60, Mallams is a small house in a row, likely dating to the early 19th century, although it may have earlier origins. The house is constructed of painted large squared stone blocks with a plain tile roof, featuring three courses of stone slate at the eaves. It is two storeys high and has two windows on the front elevation. At the first floor are two 16-pane sash windows with moulded architraves to stone sills. Above one window is another 16-pane sash. A 19th-century panelled door with a square glass inset is set within a stone-cheeked porch with a flat stone slab roof. To the right of the door is a tall stone chimney, raised in brick. The property is notably set lower than the adjoining No. 58, following the steep slope of the road.
