Description
A pair of houses dating from the late 18th century, with alterations in the mid 19th century, are located on the north-west side of Mallams, in Fortuneswell, Portland. The houses are constructed of large squared coursed stone, with slate roofs. They are three storeys high and each has a single window. The windows are plain sashes with horns and stone sills. A blocked former window with a flush lintel is centrally located on the first floor, above a pair of 20th-century replacement doors. A stone stack with a moulded capping is present on the left-hand gable, and a rendered stack on the right. The houses are included on the listing for their group value.
