Description
No. 64 is a small house located in a row, dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It features a painted large squared coursed block construction with a slurried stone slate roof. The house has a narrow frontage and a double-depth plan, standing two stories high with one window. The windows are 19th-century casements set into stone cills. A plank door is located to the left within a stone-cheeked porch that has a flat slab roof. There is a stone stack on the right that is shared with No. 62, which is not included in this listing. At the rear, there is a raking dormer. To the left, a boundary wall rises to approximately 2.5 meters, made of rubble with a dressed stone front pier and tile coping. This modest house is an important survival in a historic row that has seen substantial changes in the 20th century.
