Description
No. 135 Reforne is a house located at the end of a row, dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed from large squared stone blocks and features an asbestos cement slate roof with a cement rendered verge at the kneeler stone. The house has two storeys; on the first floor, there are two 4-paned horned sash windows, and one on the ground floor. To the left, there is a 20th-century door that is covered by a lead tent hood with stone cheeks that have rounded ends. The house has a broad-span end gable facing St. George's Road. It is noted to be recorded in documents from 1805 but was remodelled in the mid-19th century. This building plays an important role at the west end of the continuous row of structures along the south side of Reforne and is situated immediately next to the George Inn.
