Description
No. 81 Wakeham is a small house located in a row, dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of rubble with a slate roof and has two storeys with one window. The windows are 4-pane sashes set on stone cills. To the right of the house is a plank door featuring a glazed light, which is situated in a stone-cheeked porch topped with a flat slab roof. At the level of the lintel on the ground floor, there is a dressed stone band that spans two-thirds of the front, with the area around the door and porch also featuring some dressed stone, suggesting possible restructuring. The house has raised and coped verges and a tall brick stack on the left side. This building is quite small in scale and forms a pair with the adjoining No. 79.
