Description

No. 82 Elwell Street is a house in a row, dated 1821. It is constructed of coursed Portland stone rubble, with some squared and dressed stone, and features a slate roof. The building has two storeys and a symmetrical facade with two windows, which are 12 over 16-pane sashes set in flush stone jambs and topped with a haunched lintel that includes a keystone. There is a 20th-century gabled stone porch, and a brick stack is located at each gable. The house has two rear gabled wings and a low-pitched roof. Above the porch, there is a flush date-stone inscribed 'H T D 1821'. The interior has not been inspected.
