Description

Honeysuckle Cottage is an early 19th-century house located at the end of a row on the north side of Elwell Street in Upwey, near Weymouth. The house is rendered and scribed, with a slate roof. It is two storeys high and has two windows, featuring 12-over-16-pane sashes to the front, with the first-floor windows being original. A central 20th-century lean-to porch shelters the front door. Rendered stacks are present on each gable. A hipped rear wing contains a 2-light casement window above an enlarged casement, and beyond this there is a further single-storey gabled wing. Though generally similar in detail to the adjoining property at No. 82, Honeysuckle Cottage has a roof with a considerably lower pitch. The interior remains uninspected, but the ground-floor window shutters are still present.
