3/25 Lawrence's Cottage

Former farmhouse. Early-mid C18. Rubble-stone walls. Thatch roof with gable- ends, and catslide over rear outshut. C19 brick stacks at gable-ends. l½ storeys. 4 windows, 2- and 3-light large wooden casements with glazing-bars in extended openings. Wooden cills. 2 wooden lintels at right hand. One small wooden casement with glazing-bars at upper centre left. Upper floor windows with large eyebrows, C20 enlargements of the openings. Porch, at centre of the south wall, rubble-stone with pentice slate roof, plank door on east side of porch, with one glass light. Present entrance door at rear, C20 with a thatch canopy over. Interior: open fireplaces with wooden lintels over at each gable. Ceiling-beams with slight chamfer.
