Description
Storridge Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 17th century. It features stone and chalk rubble walls and a thatched roof with stone gable copings. The building has renewed brick stacks at both the left and right gables and stands two storeys tall. There are two windows, each consisting of four-light stone mullions with ovolos and continuous labels above. The windows have metal casements, and there are separate labels for the first floor. A single light mullion is located on the west attic gable end.
At the centre, there is a 20th-century stone rubble porch with stone quoins and a pitch tile roof. The doorway has a very depressed straight-chamfered lintel and jambs made from reused materials. The rear wing of the main house is from the 18th century and includes an attached wing on the right side that once served as a kitchen and stables. This wing has rendered and rubble walls and a thatched roof that is half-hipped on the right side. It also stands two storeys tall and has three windows with wood-framed casements. There is a door at the adjoining end made of wood with glass panels, dating from the 20th century. The right end of this wing features two oval straight-chamfered lights that are now blocked.
