Description
North Dibberford Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 17th century, with a roof that was re-done in the 19th century. The building features dressed stone walls resting on a chert rubble base. It has a slate roof with stone gable-coping on the left side and a hipped roof on the right side. There are 20th-century brick stacks located at the left gable and to the right of the centre on the ridge. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has four windows, which include three- and four-light stone mullions with hollow chamfers and separate labels on the ground floor. The windows have metal casements with lead lights, and two of the first-floor windows have been rebuilt correctly.
The front doorway is centrally located and features a depressed-arch head with straight-chamfered jambs and a raised label above. The door is a plank style with studded muntins, dating from the 20th century. There is also a plank door at the right end that leads to a former stable. Inside, the right-hand room has deep-chamfered, compartmented ceiling beams and a large open fireplace with a wooden lintel.
