Description

This is a detached farmhouse, dating to the late 17th century, with 19th-century alterations on the south side. The construction consists of coursed rubble-stone walls, with a base of chert rubble. The roof is slate, featuring stone gable-copings. Modern brick stacks are positioned at each gable. The original north elevation has two storeys and three windows, each with a three-light stone mullion design, featuring hollow chamfers. Each window has a separate label above it, containing fixed glass lights, and a single iron casement and leads at the top right. The central front door is plank and framed, dating to the 20th century, with a separate label above. A 20th-century stone porch with a pentice slate roof is situated at the front. The south elevation was re-faced with stone in the 19th century and contains 19th-century window openings. This elevation also has wooden casements and a 19th-century dressed stone porch with a pitched tile roof, featuring a segmental entrance arch.
