Lunn-Aire And Adjoining House

Lunn-Aire and the adjoining house are a pair of cottages, likely former coachmen's cottages, built around the mid-19th century. They are constructed from Killas rubble with dressed granite quoins, jambstones, and lintels. The cottages feature a hipped grouted scantle slate roof with projecting eaves and a central axial brick stack. The layout consists of a double-depth plan, with each cottage having two small rooms on either side of a central cross passage and two small rooms at the rear. They are built over a basement that is accessed from the rear.

The exterior is a single-storey front with a total of four windows on the north front, presenting two similar fronted cottages. Each cottage has a symmetrical two-window front with a central doorway. The left-hand cottage features mid to late 19th-century 16-pane horned sash windows at the front and rear, along with an original four-panel door that has flush-beaded panels and an overlight. The right-hand cottage has openings at a lower level, with late 19th-century or 20th-century four-pane horned sash windows and a 20th-century door. The interiors have not been inspected.
