Description
The cottage to the west of Sunny Corner Cottages in Gwennap is an early 19th-century building that was originally a pair of cottages. It is constructed from painted killas and granite rubble, featuring slate and granite sills. The roof is made of slurried scantle slate and has brick chimneys at the gable ends. The right-hand gable end is shared with the middle house. At the rear, there is a scantle slate lean-to. Each of the original cottages had a one-cell plan, with rear lean-tos added in two phases during the early to mid-19th century. The south front has a regular two-window arrangement with horned four-pane sash windows. The doorways are positioned close together in the middle; the left-hand doorway has a four-panel door, while the right-hand doorway is blocked. The interior has not been inspected.
