Description
This is a roofless building, possibly a wash house, dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed from killas rubble with some dressed granite. The building features a round rubble stack on the east side, which is topped by two round brick upper stages. It has a rectangular single-cell plan with a hearth located to the east, served by an attached external round rubble chimney. There is a doorway on the west wall and a small window opening on the north side. The tapered chimney is on the east wall. The adjoining walling to the south may be the remains of a house. This building is included for its group value and is notable for its round chimney, which is likely influenced by the nearby mine chimneys.
