Description

This small house, part of a row of cottages, dates from the late 18th century. It features textured render over rubble walls and has a thatched roof with brick chimneys at the gable ends, shared with the adjacent cottage on the left and a small house on the right. At the rear, there is a lean-to roofed with scantle slate. The layout consists of two equal rooms on either side of a central passage that leads to a central staircase, with two later narrow service rooms located within the single-storey lean-to at the back. The cottage is two storeys high and has a nearly symmetrical three-window front facing south, with four-pane horned sash windows and a central doorway that possibly retains its original four-panel door. The window opening above the door is slightly offset to the right and is likely a later addition. The interior has not been inspected but is reported to be little altered.
