Description
Rose and Coombe Cottages are a small house, likely originally a pair of cottages, probably dating from the 18th century. The building is constructed of painted rubble and rendered cob walls, with a wheat-reed thatched roof. Chimneys have been removed. The original plan likely comprised two rooms with a possible entrance lobby between them, and a later extension was added to the left. The south-east front, with two windows, is nearly symmetrical, featuring first-floor windows positioned relatively close together. A central, 20th-century thatched roofed lean-to porch shelters a 20th-century entrance door. The original openings contain 12-pane 2-light casement windows. The interior was not inspected.
