Description

A house and adjoining cottage, likely dating to the late 18th or early 19th century. The building is constructed of painted rubble and cob, with asbestos slate roofs and brick chimneys positioned over the gable end (right) and the party walls. The cottage section has a 1-room plan and an entrance on its right-hand side, while the house section has a 2-room plan with a later entrance hall positioned between the front rooms. Rear and right-hand extensions have also been added. The front of the cottage features a single window, while the asymmetrical front of the house has two windows and a central doorway sheltered by an intricate, circa mid-19th century latticed wooden porch. The windows are 12-pane hornless sashes, and the doors are panelled. A small, gable-ended outhouse sits in front of the cottage's left side. Low rubble-coped walls with pyramidal-headed rubble gate piers enclose the front garden. The interior has not been inspected.
