Description

This is a house dating from around the mid-19th century, with extensions added in the 19th century. It is constructed of roughly coursed slate killas with elvan dressings, and has a hipped roof covered in scantle slate. The house has rendered chimneys, one over the original side wall towards the left, and another over the rear wall of the extension.

The plan is of a double-depth design; the original house is on the right, with an entrance hall between two front rooms. A later 19th-century wing is on the left, containing one room at the front. Service rooms are located at the rear.

The front facade is overall four windows wide. The original, symmetrical three-window front is on the right, featuring a central doorway, while a one-window front addition is on the left. A 20th-century door and overlight are visible, along with circa late 19th-century four-pane horned sash windows. The window openings are spanned by shallow granite arches with projecting keystones. A low dressed stone wall runs parallel to the front, with a gateway aligned with the main doorway. The gateway is flanked by rectangular, round-headed gate piers. 20th-century iron railings are present. The interior has not been inspected.
