9/53 Outbuilding immediately south west of Trecombe Farm Cottage 2.10.87

Outbuilding, probably a wash house and privy. Circa early C19. Granite rubble with dressed granite quoins. Asbestos slate roof with gable ends and red clay ridge tiles. Massive square granite rubble stack over the corner, the shaft of which has probably been truncated. Plan: A small single storey rectangular building open to the roof with a doorway in the north east gable end and a large stack in the corner of the gable end. The integral privy situated at the opposite south west end has a separate external entrance. Exterior: Single storey. The north east gable end facing the house has a plank door to the right and a massive stack over the corner to the left. The privy at the opposite south west end is only half the depth of the building and its doorway is set back. There are no window openings. Interior: Open to the roof. In the east corner a stack with a fireplace with an unchamfered granite jamb and lintel. The roof has C20 nailed soft wood trusses.
