Description

ST DENNIS RECTORY ROAD, St Dennis SW 95 NW 12/289 House immediately east of the Old - Rectory II

House. Mid C19 with few later alterations. Granite rubble with granite dressings. Slate roof with ridge tiles and gable ends. Gable end stacks with granite shafts and cornices; rear wash-house has tall gable end stack with brick shaft. Plan: Double depth plan, with central entrance and principal room of equal size to front left and right. Shallow rear service rooms and a single storey wash-house to rear left, heated from a gable end stack. Exterior: 2 storeys, a symmetrical 3-window front. All windows are C19 2-light casements with margin glazing and cambered arches with keystones. Central C19 4- panelled door with overlight and cambered arch with keystone. First floor cill string course. Left side has central single light and similar 2-light casement to left at ground floor. The wash-house is to left, with a 3-light casement and plank door. Interior: Not inspected.
