Description
This is an 18th-century outbuilding that was originally a house, located in St. Agnes. It is constructed from roughly coursed granite rubble and features a corrugated iron roof with a truncated end stack. The building has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high, with an irregular arrangement of two windows. Granite lintels are present above the central door and the flanking windows, while the first-floor windows are situated under the eaves. The rear elevation, which faces the road, includes granite lintels over two small window openings and a doorway to the right. Inside, there are 19th-century pegged A-frame trusses with nailed apexes, and a fireplace with a wood bressummer. This building is an interesting example of a small Scillonian dwelling.
