Description
Sprydon Cottages is a pair of cottages built in the early 19th century. They are constructed from volcanic trap, known as Killerton stone, and feature random rubble under a gabled-end slate roof with end stacks. The front of the cottages has a slightly asymmetrical three-window arrangement, with the front door of the right-hand cottage positioned off-centre. All windows are pointed; the first-floor casements are original, with two being two-light windows and the central window having four panes in each light, along with four panes above at the apex. The ground floor windows have six panes below and six above. The panelled door, which has small glazed upper panels, also appears to be contemporary. The gable walls are made of brick, and there is a rear lean-to added in the late 19th century. The interior has not been inspected.
