Description

The gate piers and flanking walls, located west of Spindrift House, date from around the mid 19th century. They are constructed from granite ashlar with granite dressings. The design features a wide gateway flanked by square gate piers, which are connected to elliptical screen walls that have square terminal piers. The gateway piers are topped with moulded cornices and domed caps, while the terminal piers have domed caps without cornices. The copings are similar in section to the caps.
