Description
The Cottage is a house located in a row on North Road in West Looe, dating from the 17th century. It features painted rubble and some render on studwork, topped with a dry slate roof that includes a large 20th-century roof dormer. There is a brick end stack on the right side of the building. The house has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys plus an attic, with a one-window range.
On the first floor, there is an early 19th-century 16-pane hornless sash window in the center of the rendered area. Above the doorway on the left, there is rubble, and a slate hood supported by wooden brackets. The entrance features an old panelled door with later glazing in the upper half, and to the right, there is a late 18th-century or early 19th-century 24-pane two-light casement window. The interior has not been inspected.
