Description

Fairbank Cottage is a small house dating from the 17th century, located on the north side of Fore Street in West Looe. The exterior features pebbledash render over a rubble structure, with a first-floor sill string and a rag slate roof that has sprocketed front eaves. There is a large rendered rubble chimney stack on the right side and five original crested clay ridge tiles. The building has a shallow-depth plan and stands two storeys high, with a two-window range that includes a small 20th-century window on the left. On the right, there is an early 19th-century 16-pane hornless sash window above a mid-19th-century 6-pane hornless sash window, while a later 4-pane hornless sash window is located in a former doorway on the left. The interior has not been inspected.
